Units for a Mt Tabor project
Residential builds fill most of the orders here: a remodel on a terraced lot, a foundation on the slope, or a garden rebuild below the park takes a standard unit and a handwashing station, brought up on the Southeast route we run past the butte.
The park draws the events, so a trail volunteer day, a group ride, or a gathering near the reservoirs gets a deluxe flushing unit, an ADA-accessible unit, or the climate-controlled restroom trailer, staged where a truck can safely reach the edge of the slope.
Placing on a terraced slope
Many Tabor lots step up in terraces, so we scout the flattest reachable landing, usually the driveway or a graded pad, and set the unit there on planks so it stays square on ground that wants to shed everything downhill.
For a job partway up the butte we keep the unit near the drive so the crew reaches it on firm footing, and we keep the truck's service line short and off the soft, planted terraces so nothing slides on the grade.
Access and weather on the butte
The streets terrace and switchback with tight corners and few turnarounds, so our driver studies the grade and a service spot before a run, and because we cover this quarter often, a Mt Tabor stop lands about when we promise.
The wet season keeps the shaded slopes damp for months and runoff off the park softens the low edges, so we always build a firm, level base so a unit never tips toward the fall line. The dry summer loads up the park events and yard work. Delivery, scheduled pumping, and pickup ride on one order.
