Fitting a unit on the inner eastside
Kerns packs a lot into a small footprint, restaurant rows along Burnside and Sandy, warehouse and shop blocks toward the river, and skinny residential lots with alleys behind. Curb space is scarce and the traffic is constant, so for a build we look for a spot inside the site fence, off the alley, or in a loading zone the crew controls.
Our drivers time delivery and each service call around the restaurant deliveries and the eastside rush so a truck is not caught blocking a lane. When the only workable spot is on the street, plan on checking with the City of Portland about a right-of-way permit before we set there.
What Kerns rents
Infill duplexes and ADU builds on the residential lots take standard units set off the alley, with a handwashing station for the trades. Restaurant and warehouse remodels toward the Central Eastside keep a unit close to the crew so nobody leaves the site during a tight buildout.
For a warehouse event, a pop-up market, or a summer party on one of the industrial blocks, deluxe flushing units keep a crowd moving and an ADA accessible unit covers everyone on a flat, easy approach.
How the rental comes together
Tell us the address, whether the unit goes inside a fence, off the alley, or on a warehouse lot, and your dates. We confirm a placement that keeps it clear of the busy streets and set it on firm ground. Service comes on a set weekly visit, dialed up when a busy build or a string of events runs it harder, with pumping and restock handled together. We keep hours Monday through Saturday, four in the morning to four in the afternoon, and are dark on Sunday.
